On the Scale plan, each domain slot includes a soft limit of 1,000,000 (1M) tracked emails per month. This limit is not a hard cutoff — tracking does not stop and your account is not suspended if you reach it. Instead, it defines the volume threshold that is covered by the standard Scale plan pricing. If you consistently exceed it, you will need to move to custom pricing.
The Scale plan price per domain assumes a monthly volume of up to 1M emails. As long as you stay within that threshold, no additional charges apply. If your sending volume regularly exceeds 1M emails on a given domain, that domain is considered outside the standard pricing model and your account will be flagged for a pricing review.Tracking itself continues uninterrupted — you will not lose data or visibility — but continuing at that volume long-term requires agreeing on a custom rate.
The soft limit applies per domain, so the effective total for your account scales with the number of domains you have. An account with 20 domains on the Scale plan has a combined soft limit of 20M emails per month.
The Agency plan is designed for accounts where custom domain limits and custom email volumes are the baseline. If you know upfront that one or more of your domains will regularly exceed 1M emails per month, starting with the Agency plan is the more practical choice — pricing is tailored to your actual volume from the beginning, and there is no threshold to monitor or exceed.A good rule of thumb: if your total monthly volume across all domains is likely to push past the combined soft limit, or if even a single high-volume domain will consistently exceed 1M, reach out about the Agency plan before onboarding rather than after.
