Understanding account ownership and responsibilities

In DMARCeye, every account is created and owned by a single user — the Owner. This ownership comes with full control and several important responsibilities that impact how the platform works for your team.

What does it mean to be an Owner?

The Owner is the person who originally created the account. Each account has exactly one owner, and this role cannot be transferred or deleted without contacting support.

The Owner is responsible for:

  • Managing billing and subscription details
  • Creating additional accounts under their profile
  • Inviting and managing team members
  • Full access to all reports, settings, and alerts

What happens if the Owner deletes their profile?

If the Owner deletes their user profile, all accounts created under that profile will be deleted as well — including:

  • All data, domains, reports, and alert settings
  • Access for any invited team members
  • Billing and invoice history

This is a permanent action and cannot be undone.

Best Practice

If you’re planning to leave or transfer responsibility:

  • Assign an Administrator to handle daily operations
  • Contact support@dmarceye.com if you need to transfer ownership

Your profile belongs to you. Your accounts belong to your profile. If the profile disappears, so does everything connected to it.
