Basic vs Scale: What’s the difference?
Learn how the Basic and Scale plans differ — and why the Scale plan always starts from 2 domain slots, even if you monitor just one domain.
DMARC/eye offers two self-service plans: Basic and Scale. Both are suitable for small to mid-sized teams — but they differ in flexibility, feature set, and pricing model.
Here’s what sets them apart:
Basic Plan
- Fixed monthly fee
- 1 domain slot only
- Limited features
- No integrations (e.g. Slack, MS Teams)
- No custom alerts or thresholds
- No filtering or team sharing
- Great for individuals or simple setups
You cannot add more than one domain to the Basic plan.
Scale Plan
- Pay-as-you-go based on the number of domain slots
- Full access to all features and integrations
- Designed to scale with your needs
- Supports up to 50 domain slots
The Scale plan always starts from 2 domain slots — even if you’re only monitoring one domain. This means the minimum monthly charge is for 2 slots.
Which one should I choose?
| Need | Recommended plan |
| Just testing with 1 domain | Basic |
| Want integrations (Slack, MS Teams) | Scale |
| Need more than 1 domain | Scale |
| Want to switch domains dynamically | Scale |
| Require filtering and alerts | Scale |
Still unsure? Start with the 30-day trial, which includes all features from the Scale (and Enterprise) plan — and you can decide later.
